Asbestos is a deadly. It dangers, but that wasn’t recognized for a very long time while it was in use. Because of that many people were exposed to it in their works. It can lead to cancer and a related disease called mesothelioma. This disease is in general serious, and it can show up five, ten, or even twenty years later.

The principal problem is that people who work around asbestos without realizing it and people who live with those who work around asbestos can also contract mesothelioma. Many times they don’t realize why this has occurred to them, and then they ultimately observe that they have been unintentionally exposed to asbestos. There are several common treatments for leukemia patients.

Essentially, leukemia begins in the bone marrow where blood cells are made. Because of that, this cancer can spread quickly throughout the body, eventually affecting other organs like lymph nodes, the spinal cord, the brain or spleen. When leukemia is diagnosed as acute, that means the disease is spreading rapidly.

Radiation Therapy

Radiation therapy is used for two purposes. The first is to actively treat and kill leukemia cancer cells in the spinal fluid and the brain. I’m living in a multiracial country with 3 major ethnic groups – Malay, Chinese, and Indian. Each of us have different cultural background living different lifestyles. My business enables me to mix around with all these 3 ethnic groups which gave me the opportunity to observed their lifestyles and their illnesses as well.

It is interesting to find out that although we are living in the same piece of land with the same climate, but each ethnic ground tends to have higher tendency towards getting some specific illnesses. Some say it is because we have different genetic or DNA combination, but I disagree with that argument because I have discovered a more logical and scientifically way to explain this phenomenon. Breast cancer today is affecting a number of women throughout the world. With this, it is very important for everyone to know the risks of acquiring breast cancer. The following are the risk factors that would make a woman get cancer.

First of all, the risk of getting cancer is increased with age. This means that as a woman ages, the chances of developing cancer is also increased. This is the reason that most women would get cancer around the age 60s and above.

The next risk factor is inheritance. The risk of getting breast cancer is increased if the patient has family members that also have breast cancer. The chance also increases if that family member had the cancer around 40s. At the same time, the genes that can make a woman be more susceptible to ovarian and breast cancer can also be passed to the patient from their family. There is a strong move within the medical communities and government bodies such as the US FDA to make sure that people who are ill are not subject to scam claims about alternative cancer remedies and natural cancer treatments.

This would be fair enough if the medical community was actually offering treatments that worked. Unfortunately some of them have been shown to be medically ineffective. An important medical paper in 2004 showed that chemotherapy only increased the average 5 year survival rates by just over 2% (reference below).

Chemotherapy for breast cancer, for example, has an average increased 5-year survival rate of only 1.5%. A number of cancers (soft tissue sarcoma, melanoma of skin, uterus, prostate, bladder, kidney and multiple myeloma) were shown to have no increase in survival due to chemotherapy at all.
