As I have embarked on this journey treating patients with various conditions I always stayed away from treating patients with cancer. In fact, in massage therapy school we were specifically taught, “Do not treat patients with Cancer”. Up until about a year ago I treated this phrase like Holy Grail, until I encountered a few patients who I wanted to help but couldn’t. Accidentally looking for a kinesthetic class I stumbled upon an oncology massage certification. Was this fait I asked myself?

I immediately committed to the class and this is truly where the magic began. Not only did I learn that manual therapy could not spread the cancerous tumors it also reiterated the benefits of massage. Touch heals everyone. One of my favorite ideas for creating unique soap molds is forming circular soap out of PVC pipe. Not only does it create a great looking finished product, but this soap molding method is also extremely simple to put into practice.
