A deadly disease named Malignant Throat Cancer was diagnosed to Michael Douglas last month, recently discovered emerging from the full house in New York. The 65-year-old’s health is severely deteriorating and reflects a marked change from his cover picture flaunted on the magazine Men’s Journal, which was shot just 11 weeks ago.
He first observed a small lump under his jaw line while shaving about two years ago. Earlier it was thought to have cropped up due to allergies. However, doctors eventually diagnosed the small growth on the back of his tongue to be a throat cancer.
“I have a clear sense that some of my customers are suspect of being around people with illness and would bolt if they thought I was fighting cancer”, he was quoted as saying.
Amidst his worsening condition, the veteran actor is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie—‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps’.
The actor has expressed his sheer confidence in recuperating from his illness very soon, People magazine outlined.
As per the doctors, no evidence has been found that signifies that the cancer has further spread in his body.
Michael Douglas is married to actress Catherine Zeta Jones, with whom he has two children, Dylan, 10, and Carys, 7.
