Malignant mesothelioma is the cancer of the mesothelium. Mesothelium is the protective lining that covers most of the internal organs of the body. The most common type is pleural mesothelioma. Pleural mesothelioma is the cancer of the linings of the lungs. We also have peritoneal mesothelioma, endothelial mesothelioma, e.t.c.

Just like any cancer, treatment of malignant mesothelioma depends on location of the cancer, age of the patients, extent of the cancer and overall health status of the mesothelioma patient.

Among the various ways of treatment are:
1) Mesothelioma Surgery: the lining of the affected organ is removed. This method is best recommended when used in combination with others.
2) Mesothelioma Radiation: this involves directing radiations such as UV light to affected linings.
3) Mesothelium Immunotherapy: This involves boosting the immune system against the cancer cells using some substances like Bacillus Calmette- Guerin (BCG), interleukin, e.t.c.
4) Mesothelium Chemotherapy: Here, some chemicals are used to treat mesothelium. Examples of these chemicals are Cisplatin, Raltitrexed, pemetrexed, folate, vitamin B12, e.t.c.
5) Administration of Lovastatin. Lovastatin significantly lowers the cholesterol level of the body.
6) Early detections is very important in the effective treatment and recovery of mesothelioma. This also applies

to most cancer cases.
7)Photodynamic treatment where a photosensitive medication is activated using a laser. This is done during the surgical removal of cancerous tissues.
Finally, engage the services of a mesothelioma lawyer. The mesotheliomal lawyers can help you source for funds from the government. The patient can then use this money to go for adequate treatment or prognosis.

The best treatment for breast cancer can be provided if the breast cancer type is known. Therefore knowing the different breast cancer types is important. After breast cancer diagnosis, the doctor may work to know the specifics of the tumor. The breast cancer type can be determined using a tissue sample from a breast biopsy or the tumor if surgery has been already performed. The treatment for breast cancer and breast cancer symptoms will depend on the type.

The following information is needed to determine breast cancer type:

Invasive or noninvasive cancer?

Knowing whether the cancer is invasive or noninvasive helps the doctor to determine if the cancer has spread further than the breast. The appropriate treatments and the risk for further development of cancer are also determined.

1. Noninvasive breast cancer: Noninvasive or in situ breast cancer refers to a type of cancer where the cells have remained within the place of origin and have not spread to tissues of the breast near the duct or lobule. The common type of noninvasive breast cancer is ductal cancer in situ. This cancer is confined to the lining of the milk ducts. The cells have not spread to the surrounding tissue of the breast.

2. Invasive breast cancer: Invasive breast cancers invade the surrounding tissues and spread outside the membrane that lines a duct or lobule. The caner cells thus travel to other regions of the body, including lymph nodes. A stage of I, II, III, or IV is indicative of invasive breast cancer.

Cancer began at which part of the breast?

The severity of breast cancer depends on the nature of tissue affected. It also indicates how the cancer will progress. The following are some areas where breast cancer develops:

1. Milk ducts: The most common form of Breast Cancer Type is ductal carcinoma. It affects the lining of the milk duct present within the breast. The ducts are the carriers of breast milk from the lobules to the nipple.

2. Milk-producing lobules: Lobular carcinoma originates in the breast lobules. This is the site of milk production. The lobules are connected to the ducts.

3. Connective tissues: Breast cancer rarely originates in the connective tissue that comprises of muscles, fats, and blood vessels. Cancer that develops in the connective tissue is known as sarcoma. Phyllodes tumor and angiosarcoma are two types of carcinomas that can develop in the breast.

What is the appearance of cancer cells?

The following factors are taken into consideration when a sample of the cancer is place under a microscope.

1. Cells with novel appearances: Invasive ductal carcinoma cells take on unique and novel appearances when viewed under a microscope.

2. Difference between cancer cells and normal ones: Cancer grade is decided based on the difference between cancer cells and normal ones. This will also affect breast cancer symptoms.

Male breast cancer is a cancer that occurs in the breast tissue of men. Breast cancer is often viewed as a woman’s disease. However, male breast cancer does occur to a significant extent. It is important to know the symptoms of male breast cancer. The disease is more pronounced in elderly men. However, it can occur at any age.

Men diagnosed with Male Breast Cancer are at a good chance for cure if it is detected at an early stage. The symptoms of male breast cancer must not be ignored. A breast lump is the most common symptom. Most cases are diagnosed when the disease has reached an advanced state.

The following are some of the Symptom of Male Breast Cancer:

A lump that is painless in nature

Thickening of the breast tissue

The skin covering the breast undergoes dimpling, puckering, redness, or scaling.

Nipple may turn inward. Redness and scaling is also possible.

Discharge from the nipple

Consult a doctor if signs and symptoms persist.

The causes of male breast cancer are not very clear. Breast cells that grow abnormally are an indicator for male breast cancer. These cells tend to divide more quickly than healthy cells. The cells that accumulate form a tumor that may spread to a nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or other body parts.

All individuals are born with a certain amount of breast tissue. The tissue is comprised of lobules, which are milk-producing glands. The lobules are ducts that transport milk to the nipples. Women develop much more breast tissue during puberty in comparison with men. Men can develop breast cancer due to a small presence of breast tissue.

The following are the types of breast cancer in men:

1. Cancer of the milk ducts: Ductal carcinoma is the most common form of male breast cancer. Almost all male breast cancers originate in the breast ducts.

2. Cancer of the milk-producing glands: Lobular carcinoma is not a common characteristic in men as they have few lobules in the breast tissue.

3. Cancer that spreads to the nipple: In some instances, breast cancer can originate in the ducts but spread to the nipples. This can cause scaly skin around the nipple. This is also known as Paget’s disease.

Genes that increase the risk of breast cancer

In some cases, men inherit genetic mutations from their parents, which increase the risk of breast cancer. A mutation in a specific gene known as BRCA2 can increase the risk of breast and prostrate cancer. Generally, this gene helps in prevention of cancer by the production of proteins that prevent cells from growing abnormally. However, once they undergo mutation their roles change.

The causes of male breast cancer are not very clear. Breast cells that grow abnormally are an indicator for male breast cancer.

Bowel cancer can occur at any age, but is more common among individuals aged 60 and above. Bowel cancer is also known as colorectal cancer. It affects the large bowel and rectum. In rare scenarios, cancer of the small bowl is also possible.

The large bowel is also known as the colon. It comprises the last section of the digestive system. The longer and thinner part of the bowel is referred as the small bowel. Food consumed passes through the small bowl. Here the nutrients are absorbed. Food waste is then transported to the large bowel where the feces collect before it is eliminated through the anus. There are many Bowel Cancer Symptoms

.The large bowel comprises of three sections: ascending, transverse, and descending. The place where the feces collect before it passes through the anus is also known as the rectum.

Cancers of the large bowel develop from small and benign growths of tissue known as polyps. These extend from the lining of the wall of the bowel. In some cases, polyps become cancerous over a period of time. The cancer needs to be treated on time. Otherwise, it can grow the bowel walls and spread to other body parts.

Bowel Cancer Symptoms

Bowel cancer is relatively painless, especially in the early stages. However, the bowel cancer symptoms can be extremely disrupting.

1. Feces contain small traces of blood. This may be mixed with the feces or may appear as flecks on the surface. The blood is visible in the toilet or on toilet paper. To determine the presence of blood look into the toilet before flushing.

2. Changes in the bowel habits for numerous weeks. Visiting the toilet frequently or having bouts of diarrhea are common.

3. Weight loss with no exact cause and loss of appetite

4. Tiredness and fatigue for no obvious reasons. This may be due to the small amount of blood loss through the bowel, causing anemia. Anemia is characterized by low levels of red blood cells and hemoglobin.

5. Stomach ache or swelling in the abdomen

These symptoms are not restricted to bowel cancer. However, bowel cancer symptoms cannot be ignored. Detecting the disease on time will help in better cure.

Causes of Bowl Cancer

The exact causes of bowel cancer are not known. Age is a main factor in the development of bowel cancer. Nearly 80% of those having bowel cancer are aged over 60.

The chances of developing bowel cancer increases with the following:

1. A family history of bowel cancer

2. Familial adenomatous polyposis and hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer are two inherited bowel conditions that increase the risk

3. Bowel conditions such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis

4. A diet low in fiber, fruits, and vegetables but high in processed meats

5. Obesity and sedentary lifestyle

6. Diabetes

Malignant mesothelioma is a cancer, where the cells in the linings of chest or abdomen, thought it is rare type of cancer it is caused by working where you are exposed to asbestos particles in air.

The Malignant mesothelioma is affecting of the layer of specialized cells called mesotheliali cells that line the inside of chest, abdomen and space around heart. These cells also form a cover to the outer surface of most of internal organs i.e. this lining of cells is called mesothelium. This lining of mesothelium protects organs by making a special lubricating fluid that allows organs to move around. For example to explain the importance of fluid, it makes lungs to move inside the chest easier during breathing. The mesotheliums have different names in different parts of human body:

• In chest: pleura.

• In abdomen: peritoneum.

• In the space around the heart: pericardium.

Tumors of the mesothelium can be non- cancerous and even cancerous that is malignant.

Malignant mesothelioma is cancer caused mainly of work because Mesothelioma is caused by asbestos exposure. Asbestos, which was regarded as a wonder mineral, is popular as it has lightweight though it is also has tough characteristics and along with its heat-resistant properties it makes to be miracle mineral for loads of industries. Also this is a naturally occurring mineral, which was used in many commercial and consumer products, and in many industries like usage in construction materials such as cement, roofing shingles and insulation, using to consumer and industrial applications such as hair dryers, automobile brake pads and pipe insulation.

It was observed that most people with malignant mesothelioma worked on jobs where they breathed asbestos. Though there have been also cases where others were exposed to asbestos in a household environment, often without knowing its harmful effect, which now has caused them malignant mesothelioma.

Exposure to asbestos, even very little exposure can result in mesothelioma. It also has been noted and observed that sometimes people who had previously worked with asbestos for as little as one or two months may also get mesothelioma. There is a “latency period” which refers to the time between asbestos exposure and diagnosis of the disease. For Malignant mesothelioma, the latency period can be decades long, and people who were exposed in the years 1940s, 50s, 60s, and 70s are now being diagnosed.

Malignant mesothelioma is regarded as one of the harmful and fatal disease caused due to the exposure caused at work. Many industries and work places have taken precautionary measures for stopping the wide spread of Malignant mesothelioma.

A layer of specialized cells called mesothelial cells forms a lining inside and outside of abdomen, chest and space around heart and this lining is called mesothelium. These cells make special lubricant fluid which is important for movement of organs inside the body.

Malignant mesothelioma:

The cancerous tumor of the mesothelium is called a malignant mesothelioma, though this is often simply shortened and referred as mesothelioma. Mesothelioma’s can start in 4 main areas in the body.

Pleural mesotheliomas: the chest cavity. They account for about 3 out of 4 mesotheliomas.

Peritoneal mesotheliomas : the abdomen. They make most of the remaining cases.

Pericardial mesotheliomas: the cavity around the heart and are very rare.

Mesotheliomas of the tunica vaginalis: the covering layer of the testicles, which is actually an outpouching of peritoneum into the scrotum are very rare tumor.

Malignant mesothelioma’s classified into types based on how the cells are arranged when they are looked at under a microscope. Malignant mesothelioma is of three types and the prognosis of these three types:

Epithelioid: a better outlook or prognosis of about 50% to 60% of mesotheliomas. It tends to be more then other types.

Sarcomatoid (fibrous): About 10% to 20% of mesotheliomas are of this type.

Mixed (biphasic): in this type there is finding of mesotheliomas that have both epithelioid and sarcomatoid areas. They make up about 30% to 40% of mesotheliomas.

Malignant mesothelioma is of three types with varying prognosis. Mesothelioma in cavity of heart and in covering layer of testicles.
