Living with lymphedma makes it very tough for us to rise above the illness, as we look in the mirror we see ourselves, and we recognize how others see us, and yes it could be a struggle. However, we are strong, and stress is one of our number one enemies.

Stress will create even more issues that create even a bigger disparity in our healing energy. Let’s rap a little about what lymphedema is, and then we’re going to take some deep cleaning breaths, and move on to what you can do to help to keep yourself healthy physically and emotionally. A disorder in the lymphatic system gives rise to the condition known as lymphedema. Lymph vessels are the areas where the lymph collects in the standard body, the vessels return this liquid back to the blood after absorbing the pathogens and microbes.The flow of lymph in the lymphatic vessels is in one direction as the vessels have valves that allow for omnidirectional flow only.

The lymphatic liquid can stay in the tissue spaces if the lymphatic vessels are blocked, due to some reason-this causing swelling in the area where the liquid amasses. (more…)

What is cervical cancer?

This is the term used for the condition when there is an overpopulation of abnormal cells found in the cervix. This organ is located in the lower area of the uterus that connects into the vaginal area. Unlike other types of cancer, this cancer has a high chance of being cured especially when it is diagnosed at an early stage.

What are the causes and symptoms?

This condition is caused by the appearance of a virus clinically known as human papillomavirus (HPV). This virus can be contacted when you have sexual intercourse with someone who has this. However, not all kinds of HPV result to this condition. In some cases, it results to genital warts. The worst part of this condition is that you can go on for years not knowing that you have HPV.
