The treatment process depends on factors like the age of the individual needing to be rid of the burden of ovarian cysts, the severity of cyst production and risk for cancer, the type of cyst which includes the substance it is made of and the size in terms of diameter, and where to find it inside the ovary.
Functional ovarian cysts are in general asymptomatic and could disappear with the passage of time.
