Exercise and breaking a sweat can really help reduce our risk of cancer. Not being active enough can increase our estrogen levels making us more at risk for breast cancer and it can also mess with our insulin levels causing all sorts of unhealthy problems and cause bad cells to line the colon and other organs faster. It is important that we try to get at least thirty minutes of exercise five days a week for good over health and to reduce our cancer risk. You can do this by hiking, biking, walking, and walking your dog or a friend’s or other activities that keep you moving.
It is also a good idea to limit how much alcohol you have per day because even one glass can increase your risk of breast and oral cancers as well as many others. Another recommendation most of us have heard about is to quit smoking. While this may seem obvious and repetitive, smoking really does increase your risk for many cancers such as lung, oral cancers, throat cancers, and it also causes problems for your kidneys, bladder, cervix, colon, and even your bones.
